Reading this graph, we see that it is possible to be quickly referenced on a keyword with a low search volume when it will take almost a year or more to be present on the first page of Google on a competitive keyword.

But once again, don’t forget that this conclusion relates to the 114,000 pages (5.7%) that managed to reach the top 10 Google pages.

Conclusions and recommendations

Does this study give a clear answer to the question, “how long does it take to be listed”?

The answer is no.

Nevertheless, it raises important points, the first being that nearly 95% of newly published pages will not be visible on the first page of Google for a period of one year. And for the 5% of “lucky” who get there, the operation will take between 2 and 6 months.

That said, it is useful to clarify that the term “lucky” is a misnomer. Because there is no doubt that the reason for this 5% of newly published pages to appear on the first page of search engines; is the result of meticulous, precise SEO work as well as in-depth knowledge of SEO rules.
